NEXUS is an application designed to connect and empower cultures, specifically focusing on Korea's K-pop and Kazakstan's Q-pop in the early stages.
The left-hand side shows a mockup UX design of what an artist page could look like.
To offer a personalized feel for fans, it will gather different quotes, podcasts, and photos from artists native to the region. This will allow artists to talk about their roots, fans to learn about the musicality shown in different places, and offer a deeper appreciation for culture within a genre or region.
One of the key features of NEXUS is the “Find My NEXT" button at the top of the landing page. Clicking on this tool, you can type in artist, fandom, playlist, etc. to get recommendations on what new artists to check out, and every day the recommendations will be updated to highlight new artists in different regions. This tool can lead you to artist profiles that are the main build-out of our year-one platform.
The landing page will show a map of whichever region you are accessing from. For K-pop fans in South Korea, it will show a map of the different regions and cities of South Korea. From there, you can click on a region and city, and it will list the top artists in the region, the top NEXT (or upcoming) artists in the region, and new artists.

At the heart of NEXUS is the desire to increase tourism, cultural awareness, and language identity in Kazakhstan and South Korea. In the past two decades, the K-Wave also known as Hallyu, has swept across the globe promoting South Korean culture, media, and music. NEXUS intends to take what the K-Wave has already started in the past two decades and develop a space for it to grow further, in both South Korea and Kazakhstan.
Why South Korea and Kazakhstan?
K-pop has swept the globe with phenomenal artists like BTS. It has promoted Korean culture around the world, and increased South Korea's reputation and political relations exponentially. Other countries, such as Kazakhstan are following in South Korea's footsteps with bands such as NinetyOne creating Q-pop. Q-pop focuses on promoting ethnic identity and boosting country pride, especially for younger generations.
Five Year Plan For Expansion
Although NEXUS plans to start in South Korea and Kazakhstan, it plans to expand globally in year five. Through this expansion the world will be able to connect with these unique cultures and languages through their favorite artist they have yet to meet.
